like sleeping in a saggy hammock : Air Cloud Luxury Collection High Rise Full Air Bed
Previously, I had been a fan of the Aero beds. However, they cost significantly more. When I had to head north for my mom's funeral and new that I could either sleep in the hospital bed that my mom had inhabited for so long (that kinda creeped me out) or on the floor, I knew it was time to invest in a new inflatable. I chose this one because it has many of the same features as the Aero (pump is integrated into the bed -- raised height).
This bed is actually higher than the Aero. In addition, the "ridges" were not so deep or noticeable so no mattress cover was required. in fact, I forgot to bring sheets with me and wound up sleeping directly on the bed because the surface was soft enough that it reminded me of my flannel sheets.
I did not have any problems with the bed leaking and it felt very stable to me (no feeling like it was rocking back and forth as I turned over. As an added plus, it was a bit higher off the ground that once again, it felt like it was comparable to a real bed.
This was a GREAT investment and got me through a very long week where constant travel was involved (never spent more than 2 nights in the same place). It was really nice to know that I had a comfortable bed with me no matter what.
As a footnote, I also bought a slightly less expensive version -- Pure Comfort Full Size Flock Raised Air Mattress for my son and wound up lending it to my grown up niece to use while we were in Northern Wisconsin. Again, they loved it and did not have any problems with leaks. I left before she did and she like the mattress so much and it would be so useful to all our 3 families whenever we visited the lake that they bought it from me just so that it would be a permanent solution -- so much better than the rickety old mattresses that were already there but much cheaper than having to buy new mattresses. In fact, my niece and her (slightly younger) brother actually FOUGHT over who got to sleep in the air bed. My niece (due to age and beauty ;-) won! Go, KeKa!
